Since I was little, every summer we would go to Helsinki with my parents to unwind a little and gather inspiration in a different Nordic environment. This time we stayed in a really glamorous hotel (for one night only) and I also visited it's luxury gym and a small spa with three saunas and a relaxation area.
The spa was funny... They had green apples out there on a plate and I thought I'd take one (like they serve fruit in our 18+ Spa), but luckily I spotted the price list on the wall - the stupid apple cost 3 euros :D Plain water was 4,50€ :D But the gym was fun - completely deserted, small, but with lots of nice equipment, clean and elegant. Finally I met some foreign IT students, we trained together and they even asked me out for dinner, but I let this opportunity down because I had other plans.
I discovered a new burger place Friends&Brgrs that had an amazing vegan burger and you could switch ingredients (khm tomatoes :D) without any fuss. The burger was pricey though, like everything in Helsinki - 8€ or 11€ with fries and a soft drink. But hey, it was a really good burger.
I also did some shopping, my main goal was to find an outfit for my BFF's wedding - btw, congratulations to you two, sweeties! <3 :) And I did find the perfect blouse in Orsay - it's a nude pink light knit top with a beautiful beaded white collar :) But it was a long search - according to my step counter I walked 14 km each day and that was just for shopping!
As you know I am addicted to scrapbooking... So I also went to my absolute favorite craft store - Sinelli - and got these amaaaazing scrapbooking papers. I also got a new blank album where I'm gonna scrapbook all my adventures and travels :) When I finally went to pay, I was happy to find out that they were all actually on sale and I got a super deal on this amazing bunch of papers and the album!
A vegan walks into K-market... Lately we've been really blessed in Tallinn getting more and more new vegan products on the market, but Helsinki still has some unique products to offer. I got some yogurt, cookies, cooking cream, frozen vegan patties, garlic sauce and this vegetable pie (kasvispiirakka) which was greasy as hell but brought back my childhood memories of junk food that we used to buy for our allowance after school... :)
I also LOVED this modern interior shop Granit filled with tumblr-ish black-white-marble-wood pieces. I got some things for a project I'm gonna do for my room - an inspiration board with a weekly planner and calendar. So stay tuned for a tutorial soon :)
