We celebrated Halloween on Saturday with the girls - we ate some killer candy cake, did our skeleton make-ups and went out on the town to see some more people in crazy costumes. I know we should stay true to our Estonian holidays, but sometimes I just wanna go along with something fun and sorta stupid.
On Saturday, we also celebrated my Mom's birthday and for the birthday table, I made this mini centrepiece from tiny pumpkins, flowers, a candle and pinecones. Then I used it for my halloween table as well.
Then I carved the pumpkin and this year I was smarter: to avoid cutting an extra hole into your pumpkin to take the seeds out, I just made the eyes big enough that my hand fitted in. Then I placed pumpkin-scented tea lights in through the eye. So cute!
We didn't put much effort into our costumes and for my make-up, I just used what I had at home: a kohl eye pencil and white cream highlighter. I would definitely not recommend covering your whole face in highlighter though, but using some white eyeshadow or actual face paint instead. I ended up looking way too shiny and cakey - this make-up is for long distance viewing only! :D
Oh, we captured a ghost's leg on the photo above :D
Happy Halloween, everybody!
